Read three letter phonetic words, goes against this reading to young is bad really doesnt it, but she seems to want to read and obviously she self chooses to do the letters.
We are still doing montessori and waldorf combined odd combo but working, we use montessori combined with waldorf art craft circle time and lots of out door time.
I spent one day this week defending my home ed idea to Harrys great aunt, what about socilization okay so how much real socialization not stop chatting and get on with your work does a child get during a school day I wonder if anyone has done any reasearch.
My reply well she will do pre school three mornings till five, we do the local home ed group and pottery plus do roll about we are full of activities and very social will that do.

don't think anyone thinks it's a problem if the child learns to read early, it's just a problem if the child is forced to learn to read early. From what I know of montessori it's not at all unusual for kids to learn early, but it also wouldn't be an issue if they didn't.
