Just Wondering

If I am brave enough to have another baby,it would mean another fight with the NHS as we just cant afford an independent midwife has anyone had a doula where they any help ie good advocates though i know it depends on who they are and thier experience, just really need someone to stick up for me so the system does not run away with me again.

Its been a busy amazing learning curve, where I have changed my education philosophy totally looked at my beliefs and finally found a lot of peace.

July
I had to terminate a childs contract and therfore lost a whole family with that half my income walked out the door, i also started to feel that montessori just was not right for who we are and dotty spots told me about You are your childs first Teacher.

August
Due to the dreaded Every Child Matters Framework, i enrolled on an early years honours degree, I also had a holidays only child for the first time, was severlly hooked on waldorf and was looking at how to routine my days, spent lots of the summer in the woods and on the beach. i started finally following my local meat and veg use farmers markets idea.

September

another new child started, I started a Steiner course and a degree the steiner first three years course is bliss the degree however well its just not relvent to what i do.I started using steiner in my day to day work and harriet is picking up the rountine and songs really fast.

October

Another steiner saturday its having an effect on my religious beliefs and I am looking at my own christian roots in new new light, did a forest school day at half term which was a bliss ful experience its amazing though how many kids just dont want to get dirty.

November
withdrew from degree cant stand the late nights etc etc, looking at doing an ou foundation degree and a stiener kindy course, and trying to read the full every childmatters document whta does every one else think is it compilsory vetting here we come and why will celeb children (or thats what ive heard) not be on the national database.

Both my employers have had their little ones two girls one at term one at 31 weeks both okay at the mo.

Busy Busy Busy nearly completed my NVQ3 in childminding, My books are now full.

decided at last that i am going to do my stiener courses at emerson college next year, must send the forms off.

So exhusted

Its 10.48 pm finally got away from mindees who i did a babysit for so I have been with the youngest for 13 hours today, my brain is mush.

Harry is lovely really doing well doing lots of montessori practical life type stuff an chatting away well.

Getting really broody now as both my mums are pregnant.....

reading a lot about stiener at present as I would like to learn more about the method, montessori is really good but stiener seems to be calling me.

Back up to speed

Well I have survived my first weeks childminding and i have loved it, its nice having harry at home with me all the time.

she is doing so much now but her favorite activity is Park slides swings and running around like a mad thing.

I am now doing more and more montessori with her and she is enjoying it, its nice to see it working in the real sense not just as a theory.

we have achieved our aim food wise noe to local and organic and it is helping harrys excema or seems to be.

well I am off to ask jax to unhibernate me now bye.

Ofsted Cert Arrived

I am registered as a Childminder at last.

its been a long five weeks since I last blogged.

On the Homefront

I have my certificate now I am waiting for my insurance. But I am full already as My employers are bringing their kids to me.

We have new bannisters as It was one of my actions for ofsted.

I have taken the jump and joined onto an organic box scheme. I am looking at organic meat but frankley the cost is putting me off, i might look at the farmers market though.

On the downside DP is going to be made redundant at the end of the tax year.

Breads Baking

Bread is baking goulash cooking new carpet ordered form for OFSTED read to roll, god am i tired.

We went swimming this morning and a little person can now do a very sweet doggy paddle, had to fight her attempts to feed through my swim suit though lol.

she is loving an amazing treasure basket we got from the toy libary and she is really enjoying the whole huerstic play thingy lots of chain and metal objects.

oh yes and she is matching colours and has added about twenty words to her vocab in the last week bless.

Harry napped I talked to my support childminder after lots of thought and pulling my hair out I have decided on a sensible work based route.

If i manage to register with no problems both famillies who i nanny for are happy to transfer to me here which means that, a lot of the problems effecting my job eg squabbeling over days and hours, pet dogs and harry needing childcare will reduce.

Went to bluewater this afternoon and did a bit of shopping.

Came home read books did velcro and clips and poppers and yet more playdough and liitle went to bed.

back to work tomorrow.

I have been poisoned

It was the chicken korma, oh the delights of being ill for 18 hours thats why I didnt blog yesterday.

Being driven mad by the job thing, so many possibilities have no idea what to do, it very much the loyalty thing, I know I have my basic hours for as long as I want them ie eight a week, I am tempted just to go for the whole do supply and risk it.

In the end 25 pounds a week is all i need as an extra to keep as a float and due to childcare I am working 20hrs a week to earn it.

Being this torn still is awful, I must hand my notice in.
