one pound and 65 pence

That is how much I am earning an hour after sending harry to nursery. I really need to rethink my job and I am getting to the I want to be at home with my baby stage. Any one who has done this or works from home or copes on one income give me some advice.

Its been a few exhusting weeks when I seem to only sleep clean and work, harry has spent a lot of time playing alone or at work strapped in her buggy being told mummy will be with you in a minute and does it happen does it heck :-(

We now both have alwful colds and all she wants to do is cuddle me feed and sleep poor little mite and I have to go to work tomorrow as employer has no other cover and cant take another day off.

I am stressed exhusted and need a break and how am I going to look after a small child with no voice?

whinge over thanx for listening nite nite.

((((hugs)))) Having worked f/t I know the feeling and it's bloody depressing and exhausting.

Perhaps give the benefits advice line or Citizens Advice Bureau a ring and check how giving up work will affect your income - perhaps it won't be as bad as you think. If your partner is working a certain amount of hours then you'll still be entitled to Child Tax Credit etc.

I'm *technically* self-employed, but don't actually earn much (if anything some months) and we manage just fine (even though we're classed as on a 'low income').

Anyway, give the above a ring first and then you'll have some sort of idea of the level of income you'd have and then you've got something to plan with.

I can only echo what dottyspots has said , we aren't at work now and are managing, the citizens advice people worked wonders for us, I was amazed at how much they could/can do!
hope things start to pick up for you.

Aw Rachel! I hope you and Harry feel better soon. The job thing is complicated but you are fantastic at working things out, so you will find a solution.
